Professor Catherine Barnard
Catherine Barnard is a leading Professor in the field of EU law and Employment law, and the author of EU Employment Law (Oxford, OUP, 2012, 5th ed.), The Substantive Law of the EU: The Four Freedoms, (Oxford, OUP, 2022, 7th ed), and (with Peers ed), European Union Law (Oxford, OUP, 2020, 3rd ed).

Her expertise covers EU law, trade law, WTO law and aspects of the post Brexit UK legislation. She has extensive administrative experience running the academic and welfare provision of Trinity College, Cambridge. Catherine is also Deputy Director of UK in a Changing Europe, a non-partisan think-tank looking at the implications of Brexit and its aftermath.

Professor Barnard contributes teaching to an LLM paper on EU Trade and Digital Law.
